Free Crochet Pattern For The Small Pumpkin

Small Pumpkin

There are a lot of pumpkin patterns all little bit different and i wanted something really different but something that would match my homes decor so this pumpkin is what i came up with and i couldn’t be more happy. you and even stack them if you want just leave the stem off of the big one but be sure to tie the pieces together. make them your own an endless amount of colors can be used. no one every said pumpkins had to be white or orange they come in all shapes and colors just use your imagination. And have fun.

SUPPLIES:

Color of choice I used a dark grey in acrylic yarn with an 5.00 hook (H).

The leaf is a cream color in cotton yarn to help it stand better using an 5.00 hook.

You will also need a tapestry needle hot glue gun ( use caution with the hot glue) and some twine for the stem.

ABBREVIATIONS:

SC-single crochet, SCTOG- single crochet together, HDC- half double crochet, DC- double crochet, CH- chain, Magic ring, ST-stitch, INC- increase.

Pumpkin:

Make a magic ring with your color of choice.

6 sc in ring and tighten loop2 sc in each st around

1 sc, 2 inc in each st around 6x

Before continuing make 6 foundation chains. Chain 35 and tie off on each one. Leave a long tail on both sides of the chain. once all 6 chains are made put each strand through the bottom of the pumpkin at the magic ring. Once all strands are through ( just the strands not the chain) split them up 3/3 and tie them together. the chain should hang down when you lift up the pumpkin. Add you fluff as much as you can then continue with making your pumpkin.

Grab each chain that you crochet in the earlier and bring each one up a side individually to form your pumpkin. once you are holding al the strands in your hand at the top the pumpkin separate in 3 and 3 and tie them together again hold it. take the twine and hot glue as needed. Wrap the wine around the yarn strands tight you can add as much as you want and make it as long as you want. once you get the size you want cut any remaining yarn.
